You ARE Beautiful!

So while I (Mariah) was at home browsing through the many channels in TV land, I came across one of my favorite TV shows The Tyra Banks Show. The episode that was airing was tittled Beauty Inside & Out. In this episode, Tyra promoted her B.I.O. Campaign and discussed the importance of excepting and loving yourself inside and out. What you see in the magazines and on billboards aren't necessarily what you have to look like to be beautiful! Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, colors, and personalities. You DON'T have to be rich to be stylish, you DON'T have to be a size 1 to be gorgeous, and you most certainly DO NOT have to have blonde hair and blue eyes, or have huge breasts or a big butt to be flawless! Women of all ages ARE beautiful and full of worth. God put all of us on this earth for a reason. So how dare someone judge you on your looks and say "you're too tall", "you're too fat", "you're too dark" or "you're too pale", because you ARE fabulous and you should embrace your inner and outer beauty! Show people and the world that you are the amazing, smart, beautiful, and a wonderful woman you know you are deep inside. If you don't see it, do what Tyra says:
"Go, right now, and look in the mirror and find the beauty in you! And help your friends do it too". -Tyra Banks

And please remember, you ARE beautiful!

Barbie's Runway: Big Hair & Lots Of Pink!

Barbie's first-ever runway show was created with the participation of 50 designers and celebrated "the past, present and future of fashion, with Barbie® doll as the muse." Translation: Short, pink dresses!

Here's the runway. Yes, that is an image of Barbie's head, split open. Kind of terrifying.

How many Barbie dolls fit into a big B?

Girlish, flirty, super short. So very Barbie.

Like a living doll!

This doesn't ring a bell. When did Barbie ever run away with Cirque du Soleil?

Rosettes and ruffles, because Barbie is never subtle.

Is there a Mediterranean Cruise Barbie?

Whoa: Collector's edition!

Body glitter sold separately.

Big hair, big sunglasses, big earrings.

Butterfly Barbie does not come with bendable joints.

In the future, Barbie has no pants.

Soon to be seen on Agyness Deyn?

Did Barbie ever exhibit this much sass? She seems so stoic.

And when was Barbie ever this energetic?

Mommie Dearest Barbie is coming for your wire hangers.

Barbie was invited to a Mad Men party.

"Everyone needs a Ken," i.e., a man with molded privates?

Something tells us these glasses are not prescription.

Studio 54 Barbie is going on a bender, brb.

Hair bigger than the skirt, that is Barbie's way.

Ok, ok. Getting sick of pink.

Oh yes, there were children involved.

May Barbie live on for another 50 years!
So Barbie is definitely popular these days. Most girls compare themselves to "Barbie", or an actual doll. But they're nothing compared to what you've just seen on the runway!
