A Day of Nature

What a day!

It started with a call from Maria asking Mariah to go to some park with her and her family. From there we got ready and headed downtown. (Atlanta)

There were so many different people at this park!

It was crazy. But we took a lot of cool pictures, beautiful pictures!

There weren't a lot of fashionable people there, but the ones we could find, we had to snap some pics of.

Mariah wears: F21 purple tye dye tunic, Seven jeans, black gladiator H&M sandals, vintage black rosary.

Maria wears: (jewelry) heart shaped bamboo earrings from Nordstrom's BP, an American Rag one piece short & strapless, & Trouve black flats.

Haiti In Need!

As most of us may know, on January 12, 2010, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit a country not too far away from us. This tragic earthquake hit our fellow neighbors in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. January 12th not only changed the lives of Haitians, but it also changed the lives for many people all over the world.
The effects of the earthquake in Haiti affected not only those who were local, but people like us who were many miles away. So, M&M wanted to find a way to give back. Not only were so many lives lost from the quake, but so many more innocent lives are being needlessly taken due to hunger, thirst, infections, and lack of resources. For a country that was already impoverished, their people now need our help more than ever.
So...we're teaming up with our school to start a charitable organization!

Since our business is fashion-based, we decided that we would try to get as many people possible (followers, blog members, anyone interested), to donate clothing items. Please, no torn up clothing, but clothing in good condition. Also, since Haiti is a Caribbean island, flip flops, tank- tops, shorts, lightweight clothing...anything of that nature would really help.

Also, we are looking for donations of basic hygenic essentials, (i.e. soaps, deodorant, lotions). Remember, they have nothing
We're aware there is strong need for food and water in Haiti, so we strongly suggest donations of canned/dry goods & water.

By doing this, not only can we make a difference by doing a good deed, but we are also helping those who may be less fortunate. Those in Haiti have lost EVERYTHING.

If you would also like to donate to other charity organizations you can go to the following websites for more info:

Or, you can text these numbers and send a donation straight from you cell phone!
The following organizations are accepting SMS donations in the US only:
SMS text “HAITI” to 90999 to donate $10 to Red Cross relief efforts
SMS text “YELE” to 501501 to Donate $5 to Yele Haiti’s Earthquake Relief efforts
SMS text "GIVE10" to 20222 to donate $10 to Direct Relief

Please keep the Haitian people in your prayers and try to donate something at your nearest charity. We will keep you posted on how you can actually donate through us!

Thanks.

Snow Day! .. Sort of

(Maria: Pepe Jeans Jacket, XXI Jeans, Rocket Dog Suede Boots) (Mariah: Trip NYC checkerd trench coat, Trip NYC black torn skinny jeans, Ed Hardy boots, Black BCBG hoodie)

Yesterday on our day off from school (Snow Day!), we spent it studying, listening to music, taking pictures in the 30 degree weather, running back and fourth into Mariah's house to drink hot tea and eating pizza! Pretty fun day actually. For some reason the weather brought out our inner rockstar! So we decided to snap a few pictures, before all the snow actually melted.

Twenty Ten Baby!

Its crazy how fast 2009 went by! Just yesterday was 09' and now 2010 is here! Hopefully you guys had a better holiday than we did. We spent our New Years Eve texting each other from our houses, which are literally across the street from each other. But today we saw the Movie, "Alvin and The Chipmunks 2"and afterwards went to Mariah's and took some really cool pictures!

Look at the huge "M"!

(Mariah: Vintage black tank top, Acid washed Guess Skinny Jeans, Juicy Couture boots, Juicy Couture clutch, Vintage black beanie hat, F21 chained necklace)
(Maria: Buffalo Shirt, Urban Outfitters cardigan, Vintage blue jeans, ALDO boots, Icing earrings, ring and headband)

Mariah: My inspiration for my outfit was very Taylor Momsen meets Me! I mean with the cross chained necklace && the dark colors, it was kind of Gothic in a sense, but i made it a little more me with the Juicy boots, white under shirt, beanie hat and Juicy clutch. I kind of made it a little more girly with my little ensembles. Even though i must say, black is timeless and an all time great color to wear for really any occasion! Black is definitely the new..black! :)
Maria: Not much inspiration! Just thought. . "Hmmm.. it'll be pretty chilly out so let me throw on some boots and a cardigan!" Classic and cute.
Double :)

Happy New Year Everyone!
